Escape From Playtime Community Code of Conduct

Welcome to Escape From Playtime! Public lobbies and matchmaking bring players together from all over the world, each with different backgrounds and experiences. To keep our community safe and fun for everyone, all players must follow these core principles:

Respect & Communication Standards

  • Treat others as real people: Behind every Smiling Critter is a human being. Treat all players with basic dignity and respect.
  • Zero-tolerance for harassment and hate speech: Do not engage in bullying, personal attacks, or discrimination based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, disability, etc.
  • Keep language appropriate: Avoid excessive vulgarity or toxic rage outbursts.

Fair Play

  • Play to win fairly: All players must rely on their own skills and game mechanics alone.
  • Zero-tolerance for cheating: Do not use hacks, third-party automation scripts, or any other unintended exploits to gain an unfair advantage.

Teamwork & Match Commitment

  • See the match through: Avoid intentionally going AFK (away from keyboard), idling, or leaving a game early once you commit to playing.
  • Do not sabotage your team: Refrain from blocking teammate movement, wasting team resources, or deliberately losing (“throwing” or “griefing”).
  • Keep comms constructive: The voice chat is instrumental to team play in Escape From Playtime. Please use it for callouts, strategy, and positive team reinforcement.

Account & Personal Safety

  • Protect your info: Never share your personal information or private data with other players.
  • Use the kick feature: Lobby hosts have the ability to kick players who are participating in any misconduct.
